When horse breeder Stephen Irwin came up with an idea and joined together with major trailer parts manufacturer All States Trailer Spares the result was  the Pivot Point Tipper.​

The Pivot Point Story

Pivot Point Tipper is all about simple tough maintenance free tipping and the idea has changed tipping for ever.
​
The tipper was developed on the farm by Stephen Irwin. It came as a result of needing to reduce the time taken to do the daily duties of cleaning out the horse stables.
​
Being able to tip the trailer would reduce the time it took by about half and the idea grew.
 

Stephen looked for an affordable reliable way of tipping as the current tipping options were:
• Tilt trailer that still needed shoveling
• Winch tipper that was cumbersome and slow
• Hydraulic tipper that is expensive to buy, adds significant weight to a trailer, is something that needs maintenance with seals and oil etc and needs a power pack to run the hydraulic ram.

None of the options were appealing

That’s where the patented idea of having a tray on rollers that slid backwards until it reaches the pivot point and then tips came from. This tipper is now patent in 142 countries around the world   (2010246405 patent number)

Over time the product was developed from a farm trailer to road trailer and then to a utility back and now it has been used on ATV’s and there are plans for the same Pivot Point Tipping mechanism to be used in many other applications.
